To mark the occasion of ten years of RUBBISH Magazine, we created a pop up shop on the Golborne Road, selling throwaway gifts to treasure forever. Our ruler, Jenny Dyson, dreamed up the concepts and products with Joseph Turnbull. The duo have also launched their artist partnership, Joseph + Jenny. Together they are creating slogan tshirts, fashion merch, shooting lookbooks and planning an exhibition in the autumn.

Inspired by a love of poundshops, many of the objects we created were fashioned from domestic items. We also had fun with the theme of RUBBISH. Pencil’s Etta Bradley made some RUBBISH bling which sold out, there wre also Christmas rescue kits, rude word badges, artwork inspired by cleaning products and endless christmas cards, hand made by Joseph and Jenny.

The shop was a huge success. We even got a lovely write up in The Times and the Evening Standard. Stay tuned for more RUBBISH merch and visit our shop here.
