Louise Gray is a designer who has gained a reputation for questioning the rules - why conform, when you can do it your own way? Louise trained at The Glasgow School of Art and CSM. This heady mix of a traditional textiles and fashion background coupled with an individual attitude lends itself to a unique style and makes the Louise Gray world an inviting place. Louise has collaborated with Topshop, Asos, Brora, Pollini, Robert Clergerie, The V and A, and designed for Lanvin, DVF, Peter Jensen, House of Holland, Christopher Shannon, The Smiley Company amongst others.
The Pencil team kidnapped Louise and took her to Dumfries House, where we ran a Pencil Atelier workshop for HRH Prince Charles’s A Stitch In Time textiles festival.
We have also just worked with Louise on a super emojinal project for Jack Wills. Louise and the Pencils worked on embroidering a load of emojis onto JW cashmere hoodies, which were sent out to press and VIPs.
